Last week I went to the beach together with my wife Vivian and one year old son Billy. The weather was quite good and this beachcafe did have some take away pizzas!

For Billy it was his first time at the beach. I think he liked going out in this time of COVID19 but he didn’t like the feel of sand on his feet. So he stayed safe on the blankets or in ous arms.

I brought my new old Minolta SRT101x and shot a roll of Lomography Potsdam 100. I had never tried this film but the fact that it’s a 100 ISO roll got me to load it inmy camera. I shot a lot of portraits and a few landscape kind of stuff. Altough I have ‘better’ or more expensive camera’s this one really seems te grow on me.

I really like these upper two photos. They have a feel of isolation, the man standing alone at the and of the road, but also the two kids playing soccer. Only that one would have been better if the kid in the white t-shirt would have been alone.
I developed the roll myself in Rodinal. I can share the specs if you want.

Also, in this time of digitalisation of everything like working, staying in contact with family trough screen and all that it’s really a releave to be using a 60 year old camera that doesn’t rely on a battery, loaded with a roll of film I like and just be in the moment to photograph anything you think is worth the shot!
